I have hardwood floors, heavily polyurethaned, so all furniture has to be on thick felt pads. I got this for my pc desk chair, and it works great. The chair will still roll when I want it to, but it doesn't roll all over the place like before, it's padding for my feet, and cleans up easily. It's really sturdy, so I was surprised at how easily I was able to trim it with a scissors, taking a couple of 3x10" strips off each side at one end so it would fit under my desk. It's always a nice surprise to find something useful that doesn't cost an arm and a leg! All I had been seeing for actual desk mats were clear plastic mats for carpeting and bamboo mats that were beautiful but very pricey. -- Perfect for computer chairs, too
